Dogs like music?

Yesterday at the end of the day as I was waiting for my ride to pick me up from work, I saw a lady getting picked up by her husband and her daughter. Her daughter was probably about 3. It was honestly the sweetest thing seeing the mom enter the car and see how excited her daughter got to see her mom. That's probably the best feeling.....my dog is like that too when I get home! She jumps up on me like she's giving me hugs and runs around me when I get home! Sometimes she doesn't even want to go for a walk she just wants to be with me for a little while first!

Have I told you how much I love dogs ahhhh!

Dogs are so interesting too!

This morning I was playing Fleetwood Mac songs on my phone, with my headphones on as I did my hair. Now usually my dog will sit on the bed as I do my hair or she'll go out and hang in the living room. But today she was glued to my side...and it honestly looked like she was listening to the music, she was even swaying a little bit!

She wasn't a big fan of Lorde

Now I may be over analysing this situation BUT that's really how it looked! She especially liked "Rhiannon".

This interested me so much that when I came into work today I legit googled "Do dogs like music", and this came up :

"Research conducted by Deborah Wells, an animal behaviorist, seems to back up the claim that dogs indeed like music. The result of Wells' study revealed that pooches find specific types of classical music to be quieting and relaxing, while not being interested in pop music or radio shows."

Very cool! It makes a lot of sense! A lot of people leave a radio on or something for their animals! But I always thought it was just so it sounded like people were home so they didn't feel so alone.

So when I get home I think I'm going to do a few tests....she better like Weezer & The Pixies!!
