Money is the root of all evil

If you haven't seen my Top 10: 10 least favourite things page. Go check that out. Money is on that list. Money and I have a bitter sweet relationship. I think I would like it more....if I had more of it. Its kind of like when you try a little of something for the first time and you aren't sure you like it so you need to try a bit more...and it gets better and better the more you have of it. That's money.

My job previous to the one I have now paid me quite a bit more than I'm making now. Its been hard to change lifestyles when you're used to spending more. Yes I know this is a shitty thing to complain about.

I'm talking about this today because its frustrating. Its frustrating when its pay day, you get excited about having more than 10 dollars in your account but then ALL of your pay...and this time I seriously mean ALL of it is going somewhere. Rent, loan payments, internet etc. I'm thankful for my over draft because I'm in it every month...but I don't want to be. I'm spending money that's not mine. So when I get paid that money pays off the money I used from my overdraft so I'm really throwing away money each month. Its a drag.

AND when you live with someone else that can be hard too, they may make more or less than you. You may have to pay for a few more things because of that. So that's extra stressful and frustrating.

My mother when I talk to her about money and jobs she always brings this up and it drives me crazy, she says "I used to work crappy cooking jobs for 8 dollars an hour". 8 dollars, yeah that sucks BUT everything was a little cheaper than it is now. I make double what you made when you first started in your career BUT everything is double. More taxes are taken out. Groceries are more. EVERYTHING IS MORE.

And the worst part about all of this money talk.....is that almost everyone at work is wearing Green today....no not because of pay day. There's a Saskatchewan Rough Rider game today. I'm wearing purple.
