Stuff your ego's in a sack

Everyone has an ego. Maybe its smaller, and healthier...maybe its a good thing they have a bit of an ego. Ego's can give you confidence. But I find if that ego grows and grows....it takes over your personality and you can become a jackass.
I was at a Tim Hortons once, and there was a homeless man sitting outside the door with a hat out. He was just sitting there, just saying hi to people as they walked inside. This man is about to walk in...the man says hi to him, and the man walking inside just glares at him and asks him if he had anything better to do other than harass people. EGO. He thought by being rude to this man who has nothing, would boost himself up and I think that's total crap. I hope he thought about what he said after and just felt like garbage.
There's big ego's everywhere, especially in my line of business.....the media. Sometimes its folks who just got out of College and they were top dog in their class. They strut into their new job like the job owes them something. They put in zero effort and assume everything will be done for them and everyone will be at their beck and call.
Sometimes these big egos are from those who have been in the industry over 10 years. They think they are too good for little jobs like paperwork, voicing commercials, or working a full 8 hours. I see this everywhere be it places I've worked or friends telling me stories about places they've worked all over Canada.
Chill out. You are never too good for something. You should appreciate all that is given to you. You should be happy to do anything you can do to help someone else out, especially at the work place. One job that may seem small to you, is big to someone else. Be Humble, Be Kind, Be appreciative. You are probably a wonderful person but that ego can take over and that's human.
We are all human and we have our bad days where we lash out at someone who doesn't deserve to be lashed out on. I've been there many times, I'm sure you have to. After you do or say something you regret, just sincerely apologize, let that person know you had a bad day and there was no excuse to blow up like that. That person will understand, because they are human too....Unless you freak out on an Alien disguised as a human being....I don't know if they'll understand or not. Do Aliens have feelings?
Tom Delonge from Blink 182 has been researching so maybe he knows!
